Job Description

About Caring Transitions

Caring Transitions is the nation’s largest and most trusted organization specializing in downsizing, relocation, estate sales, decluttering, home cleanouts, online auctions and other services. Our comprehensive menu of services supports older adults and their families through late life transitions. Serving over 450 locations across the US. Our e-commerce brand, CTBids, has over 1M bidders and millions of unique and everyday treasures sold through online estate sale auctions.

Recently acquired by the same entrepreneurs who transformed Backstage from a legacy print publication into a profitable digital marketplace, Caring Transitions is embarking on an exciting new chapter. We’re investing in every aspect of the business: modernizing our technology, improving the infrastructure, and building a flat culture where good ideas win, initiative is rewarded, and talented people can make a real impact.

The Role

Caring Transitions is seeking a Growth Marketing Manager, Content & Strategy to develop and lead content initiatives that strengthen our brands, engage our audiences, and drive measurable business growth. You’ll be joining our Marketing team, which consists of three Marketing Managers, each with ownership of a specific area of the business, and a VP of Marketing. We’re a creative, hands-on, and pragmatic team that values initiative, personal accountability, and adaptability. We enjoy working together to build marketing programs that help our brand and franchise owners achieve revenue and growth goals.

As our Growth Marketing Manager, Content & Strategy, you’ll own the content strategy and execution for Caring Transitions and CTBids. You’ll create compelling content for multi-channel distribution, highlighting the stories and successes of our clients and franchise owners while positioning our brands as industry leaders. You'll also use audience insights and performance data to inform content strategy, optimize engagement, and identify new opportunities. This role sits at the intersection of growth, content, brand, and strategy, providing the opportunity to shape how clients, customers, families, referral partners, and bidders experience our brands while directly contributing to the company's business goals.

The Growth Marketing Manager, Content & Strategy will report to the Vice President of Marketing.

The salary range for this full-time position is $65,000–$85,000 annually. We strongly prefer candidates based in Cincinnati, with the expectation that they work from our home office, but we are open to exceptional remote candidates.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own the content strategy and editorial calendar for Caring Transitions and CTBids; develop and execute multi-channel content initiatives that increase brand awareness and align with business goals
  • Create blogs, email campaigns, website content, PR, influencer content, and other marketing assets to support seasonal and ongoing marketing campaigns
  • Produce thought leadership content that positions Caring Transitions and CTBids as industry leaders and reinforces our expertise across the markets we serve
  • Adapt content for different channels and audiences, selecting the formats, messaging, and creative approaches best suited to each
  • Identify opportunities to highlight franchise owner success, client outcomes, and community impact, and incorporate their stories into the larger content strategy
  • Develop nurture campaigns and customer journeys that move prospects through the funnel, strengthen engagement, and drive conversion
  • Continuously test messaging, creative, content formats, and audience segmentation to improve engagement and conversion rates
  • Analyze content and campaign performance, translating audience insights and data into actionable recommendations that inform strategy and improve results
  • Partner with the broader marketing team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure content supports business objectives and delivers a consistent brand experience

Who You Are

  • You have 3+ years of experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, with a strong background in content marketing and strategy
  • Strong writer, copywriter, and storyteller who knows how to shape compelling messaging for different audiences and stages of the customer journey
  • Experienced with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and email marketing tools, including audience segmentation and campaign management
  • Proficient with Google Analytics, HubSpot, Canva, WordPress, and social media platforms
  • Understand SEO best practices and content optimization strategies, and know how to create content that performs across search and digital channels
  • Analytical thinker who can evaluate campaign and content performance, identify opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations
  • Strategic and creative, with the ability to connect content initiatives to broader marketing and business objectives
  • Adaptable, curious, and resourceful; you enjoy testing new ideas, exploring emerging channels, and finding better ways to engage audiences
  • Clear communicator and collaborative partner who takes ownership, works well across teams, and brings ideas forward

Why Caring Transitions

  • Work directly with pragmatic and collaborative executives from Backstage.com, BCG, Cast & Crew, etc. who value innovation and initiative
  • Access to cutting-edge tools and platforms across every department
  • Thrive in a flat structure where your voice is heard and respected
  • Grow in any direction you choose — operations, product, development, or marketing. Dream big!
  • Maintain a fair work-life balance. We cherish time with our families (fur babies included!) and encourage you to do the same
